Open for business: What you could get in Midtown on Saturday before Hurricane Irene

It was very interesting to see what was still open on Saturday while wandering around my hood. CVS, Duane Reade, Walgreens, McDonalds, Wendy's and the Corner Bodegas were all open. But not Burger King, the grocery store, Jamba Juice or Starbucks, no over priced coffee or smoothies to be found anywhere! How tragic... But you could still get these things:

Plenty of souvenir stores.
A number of pubs.
Korean/Japanese restaurant. Yum.

Worried about the storm? Consult a psychic.
Essential for emergency situations.
Emergency accessory runs, made possible by Pink.
Vintage trench coats to help you weather the rainstorm.
The batteries were gone but you could still get stocked for Halloween.
At 9pm we were still able to get Japanese for dinner.
